DOWSING

“PENDULUM IS THE VOICE OF OUR INTUITION”

DOWSING

Dowsing is a form of divination that helps us to unlock the secrets of the universe. Dowsing gives us the ability to explore the unseen world of powerful subtle energies that are invisible to the normal eye. It’s an ancient art that was used extensively in finding ground water, buried metals or ores, gemstones, oil, hidden or buried treasures, gravesites, many other objects and materials and also the currents of earth radiation.

Dowsing is simply the ability to connect to one’s higher state of guidance... ask questions and get answers. From the scientific point of view, it is the ability to access information available through the intuitive right-side of our brain and spiritual perspective it is seeking information from the sub-conscious mind.

HISTORY

Dowsing is a natural and integral tool of man and its history is as old as humanity itself. The art of dowsing has been available to individuals who chose to pursue and develop this innate aspect of the self. The word dowsing is derived from the Greek word ‘Deuden’ (to declare). It means searching for anything by projecting an intention of what is desired and receiving confirmation or non-conformation feedback
Dowsing has existed in various forms for thousands of years. Dowsing probably originated in Germany during the 15th century when it was used to find metals. German scientist Georg Agricola, a pioneer in scientific classification of minerals, authored De re Metallica published in 1556. This classic work examines dowsing and its applications. Dowsers played a vital role in the construction of the early castles on the Rhine. Before the castles could be built, water had to be located beneath the stone mountain tops which they were to occupy.

In fact, every language spoken in this world has at least one word to illustrate dowsing. The ancient Chinese called dowsing ‘talking to’ or ‘seeking’ the "dragon flow" with the "claw of the dragon", or dowsing rod. Dowsing was also called fung shui or fing, meaning ‘wind’, and chi meaning ‘water witching’. The French addressed the dowser sourcier - one who locates water sources.

The Swiss named the dowser brunnenschoncher, or ‘water seeker’ and the dowsing dueten, meaning ‘to point the stick’. The Danes’ term for dowsing was finklerut, the Swedes’, dalkarl. In Mexico, dowsers are called burros because the latter are also known for their ability to find water in the desert. In the US, dowsers have been called with several names like "water devils", "rod wielders", "doodle buggers" and "water diviners".

TECHNIQUE

Dowsing is a technique of using body’s own reflexes to help us interpret the universe around us through a pendulum (some people also use L or Y shaped rods).

PENDULUM

Pendulum acts like a bridge between the conscious and the sub-conscious mind. It is an amplifier. The sub-conscious mind through the systematic nervous system stimulates the involuntary muscle action and thus causes the pendulum to move without any physical effort on our part to answers our queries.

USES

Dowsing is basically a path to enlightenment. Earlier Dowsing was used to locate water, oil reserves, metal ores, criminals, missing people, location of plane crash and sunken ship sites and sub-marines and hidden installations under the land or water. Today also it has multiple uses in daily life:

  • Measuring the energy (positive or negative) of a place or a person.
  • Tracing missing persons and lost articles.
  • Selecting a life or a business partner.
  • Selecting a house, office, land, factory etc. with positive vibrations.
  • Selecting a proper diet.
  • Selecting a proper investment in proper business.
  • Selecting a proper treatment (Homeopathy, Allopathic, Ayurved etc.)
  • For scanning CHAKRAS.
  • For confirming the time and date of birth.
  • For selecting a proper career/ vocation/business.
  • Selecting useful stones and gems.
  • For choosing the best time for ceremonies and to begin new work etc.
Dowsing, in fact can make our lives stress free and fruitful with Pendulum acting as our true friend and guide at all times and in any circumstances.
